The Maine Certificate of Existence (Also referred to as the Maine Certificate of Good Standing or Maine Certificate of Status) is an official document issued by the Maine Secretary of State that certifies that the legal entity is registered with the State of Maine and is compliance with all state required formalities.

Upon application to the Office of the Maine Secretary of State a certificate of standing will be granted to any domestic or foreign profit and nonprofit corporation, limited liability company that was duly registered or formed within the State of Maine.
